Algonac Pickerel Festival Ride anyone?

Saturday July 3 is the date for the annual Algonac Pickerel Festival Ride and it seems like a perfect event for our weekly long ride.

There are two routes, a 25 Mile and 40 Mile. Both routes travel to scenic Harsens Island. The 40 Mile Route – what I suggest we do – follows the St. Clair River and heads through the Algonac State Park. Proceeds benefit Lions charities and Access to Recreation projects. The $30 day of registration fee includes T- shirt and Lunch.

Start time is a bit early for many of you sleepy heads (me included) – 7 Am, from the Clay Township Park, 4710 Pointe Tremble, Algonac.

You can get an application and more details from the Algonac Lions Club Website.

Interested? If you can do this ride, use comments below. I’ll go if others will. I did this a couple years ago and really enjoyed it.
