I’m getting a new crossover, and so I’m thinking of a new hitch rack instead of roof. Opinions are all over the place, but after research it has come down to using a wheel mounted system instead of hanging by the top tubes. The rack needs to carry 4 bikes including 2 expensive carbon ones, a 24″ kids bike (and within 2 years will be a small 700c bike, and a 20″ kids bike that obviously will also be growing over time.
