LMB Testifies on Bicyclist Turn Signal Bill – Recommends Amendment

Today the House Transportation Committee took testimony on HB 4728 which would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) to require cyclists to extend his or her right hand and arm horizontally to indicate a right turn.  This bill would eliminate the current method for signaling right turns, meaning that an upturned left arm would no longer be recognized as a legal turn signal for bicyclists in Michigan.  LMB Associate Director John Lindenmayer provided testimony on the bill on behalf of LMB,… [[ This is a content summary only

Oakland University keeps pushing Wallmart bike sharing

Oakland University in Rochester Hills is expanding their on-campus bike share program . According to the Oakland Press : The pink bikes purchased by the university this year are part of the Bike Share program that allows any student to ride one of the bikes from and to any part of the campus for free, said Greg Jordan , director of OU’s recreation center and the Bike Share program
