Help with training!

I picked up road cycling again in spring mostly to do tri’s but have come to realize i truly enjoy it on its own. I sustained a running injury that will have me sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks from running but i can still bike with out problem. My normal training for biking was 3 days a week two shorter days and one longer ride.

How to set up traditional bars?

I have always used FSA compact bars and am going to give a traditional bar a try on my new build since a friend of mine has one laying around, which fits me. From looking at videos online and reading websites, it seem that most people position the hoods a little lower than the top of the traditional bars, producing a little drop maybe 1-2inch until the hoods.

road bike fit issue

I got a 54cm 2009 Fuji Roubaix Pro a couple weeks ago and have spent some time trying to dial this machine in. I’ve noticed a few problems that I can’t seem to get rid of – first, after about 10 miles or so, my lower back starts to ache, like what happens when you do too many weighted back extensions at the gym. When I ride it feels like I’m keeping my back straight
