My wife had her knee replaced about two years ago and she is able to do almost everything she could do before her knee started giving her problems. The one thing that remains hard for her is to kneel down on the knee. She got to the place where she is by working very hard in physical therapy. The key to recovery is finding a really good physical therapist who is dedicated to helping you engage in the activities you want to engage in. If at all possible, do your PT at the therapist's office rather than having them come to your home. That allows you to use all of the equipment there and will speed your recovery. By the way, I had my right hip replaced this past June and consequently missed this bike riding season. I'm back on my stationary bike but have decided to wait to ride outside until spring. Good luck to you. I hope that your recovery enables you to do everything that you want to do.
