Oakland Twp. "Loop" Ride 6-27 8:30am UPDATE

UPDATED 6-26 with directions to the Start at Bear Creek Park.

Oakland Twp. announced their Trails development plan featuring a loop around the township connecting parks and trails. Mike and I were at the meeting and thought that we should ride the loop. The trails and paths don't exist yet BUT we can still get a good ride and a good bike seat view of the plan.
The attached map is tentative because the trails through Cranberry lake Park, Draper Park and Stoney Creek Ravines Park may not be bikeable yet. Our ride will be about 20 miles mostly on gravel roads at 11-12 mph.

Just checked out the trails in the parks. Stoney Creek Ravines Park is not rideable so we'll skip it. I've updated the map.

We may also want to avoid the trail in Cranberry Lake Park because of the recent rain. The north end has alot of very thick, gooey, black mud. I'll check it out and have updated maps at the start. I just checked out Cranberry Lake Park. The north end trail is under water in many places. We'll avoid it and go accross Predmore Rd.

Starting Location is the parking lot in BearCreek Park which is on the north side of Snell Rd about .9 miles West of Rochester Rd or about .4 miles East of Orion Rd.
