What a nice surprise. Right off the Clinton River Trail just west of Rochester is a network of pretty amazing Mountain Bike trails.
Rode them this morning on my new Superfly. I took a main loop around the park that was pretty tame, with just a couple of mudholes. But there are some wicked steep, rooted and tutted trails that branch off for the hard core.
I rode there from my home (20 miles round trip), taking Paint Creek Trail into downtown Rochester and making my way along the creekside sidewalk in back of the library to the Clinton River Trail. Headed east about a half mile and took the first big trail that heads off to the right. I got about four miles on the trails there at Bloomer as I doubled back to the CRT, sticking to the easy stretches. But it’s pretty sweet back there.
