Next Saturday, July 25, the BikeFitness.net ride will be in Oxford, along the Polly Ann Trail as the annual Pearl of a Ride event takes place with rides of 15, 30 or 48 miles.
You can get the details in this post from the Community Forums. The trail is mostly unpaved so you’ll need a mountainbile or hybrid.
Comment below if you’re going. Right now, I’m planning to ride the 30 mile route,.

I will be there. Not sure if I will do the 30 mile or 48. Depends on how the riding goes on my new bike during the week.
I plan on being there, but not sure where we start from and at what time.
Meet at the Oxford Village Offices (22 West Burdick Street) parking lot. registration is there. I plan to be there at 8AM…. UNLESS it’s pouring rain.
Now Mike, don’t be jinxin us, talking about “pouring r_ _ n”.
We’re planning on sunshine and mid 70′s for weather on the day of the 11 th annual Rural Pearl of Ride. I’ve been one of the event organizers since day one, and this is got to be one of the prettiest little bike rides in the state and for a good cause too.
‘ll be there at 8 a.m. Do we park at the school like last year?
No… see above
I woke up to rain so I didn’t join you. Still raining here but radar looks like Oxford is and will be pretty clear. Live and learn
I did the 48 mile ride it was more like 50 miles. Left Oxford about 8:15 only saw 7 other riders for the whole ride and that was at the SAG stop in Leonard. Lots of nice rail trails, and Oakland and Macomb county back roads. It rained for awhile got wet and muddy other than that a pleasant ride. I have the route sheets for future rides.
