I rode this last year and enjoyed it very much. Warning: the roads are typically described as “rolling” and they are not kidding! I took the long route options every day and it is a good workout. However, they are all in good shape and mostly with very light traffic. The stop at the Wooden Boat Show at Presque Isle is a definite highlight, as is the breakfast on the road Saturday morning that is put on by the “church ladies” at a small rural church along the route. I rode 60-70 miles a day and gained weight on this tour.
There’s a bunch of our Saturday morning regulars signed up for this ride, Doug. Thanks for the info. We’re looking forward to it.
I’ve ridden this twice on a recumbent the long route (rolling = hilly)and am doing it this year on my new road bike. It’s a fabulous warm up for the week long rides. Great road conditions, very low traffic and quite interesting scenery. Lighthouses, waterfalls and the boat show.
