Sounds like everything is still a go for Friday. After looking at the weather forecast, I’m laying out my gear: my bermudas (the color to match my bike), a white t-shirt, and socks and shoes. See you between 10:30 and noon.

  2. It’s a Go… even if it’s 10 below.

You and I will ride together Maury… matching Bermudas.

    Thermal gear is for wimps.

I plan on wearing everything I own. Probably end up looking like Ralphie’s brother on the Christmas Story. Also bought gaultlets for my handlebars to keep my hands warm.

So – Pat B. I saw those gauntlets and they look like a great idea. How did they work out for you?
My “big idea” for this ride was to wear my ski goggles. They worked great, but I did find that I had to turn my head a bit further to look behind me.

The gaultlets worked great. I started the ride wearing a pair of winter gloves, a seperate liner and hand warmers. After a few miles my hands got to warm. Ended up only wearing the glove liners. I bought the gaultlets at a snowmoblie shop they were rather cheap.
